CBD, or Cannabidiol, is one of 113 compounds found in marijuana, accounting for up to 40% of the extract from the plant. At CBD Pillow, we have designed and created a pillow infused with millions of microcapsules filled with 150 mg of CBD, bonded to the outside of the fabric.
What is Microencapsulation?
Microencapsulation is an innovative process where microscopic droplets of CBD are wrapped with a protective polymeric coating to protect the CBD from evaporation, oxidation, and contamination until their release is triggered by the pressure of a user laying down.
What is CBD?
CBD, or Cannabidiol, is a non-psychoactive component known for its calming and relaxing properties, and is a powerful antioxidant. It is important to note that our microcapsules do not contain tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, meaning it does not produce the “high” feeling that marijuana is known for.
The CBD Pillow
Our CBD pillow is pressure-sensitive, meaning that the microcapsules are designed to burst when you lie down on the pillow. The CBD infused into the pillow is absorbed into your body through the skin and hair follicles throughout the night. Because our pillow focuses on micro dosing, the effects last longer than if you were to use CBD oil, or eat a gummy.
Our 6-month guarantee ensures the CBD Pillow can withstand up to 20 washing cycles, and will still contain CBD up to 6 months after you first use it. While we cannot guarantee that your pillow will contain CBD after 6 months, we have constructed a durable, long-lasting pillow for you. The CBD pillow is an adjustable gel memory foam pillow, backed by a 10-year warranty on the craftsmanship of the pillow.
The pillow is designed to be adjustable and customizable to all users. If you find the CBD Pillow is too firm upon arrival, simply unzip the pillow, and remove the fill until you have reached the desired softness.
All of our CBD Pillows are made in Southern California with CBD sourced from a family farm in Colorado for the best product available.
A pillowcase is not required to be used with your CBD Pillow; however, if you find the CBD to be too potent, a pillowcase can be used to dampen the effects.
Caring for Your CBD Pillow
To make caring for your CBD Pillow easy, we have designed each pillow with a removable CBD-infused cover. Simply remove the cover from your CBD Pillow, and machine wash in cold water using a delicate cycle. Do not use fabric softener or bleach when washing your CBD Pillow, and allow the pillow to fully air dry, as they are not made to withstand the heat of an electric dryer.
After extensive testing from our labs in the creation process of our CBD Pillow, we recommend washing your pillow cover approximately once every two weeks to maintain the integrity of the CBD dosage. Washing the pillow more often than this can result in weakened effects of the CBD, or the CBD Pillow to be ineffective sooner than intended.
